If you are either in Add and Edit Data or View Data you should be able to see these map tools   .

 Search Activities by drawing an area of interest on the map. All Activities within that area will be turned on. Note that this action turns on all features for those intersecting Activities, not just those inside the drawn area of interest.
 

 Spatial Filter: draw an area of interest to select only those Activity features that are within it. The Spatial FIlter tool acts only on Activities that are turned on in the map Table of Contents. If you are finding that features are not showing up after drawing an area of interest, check that the Activities you want to work with are turned on first.
